Monkey See, Monkey Do
Reality is so efficient we should just copy it instead of inventing a costly method.
The one thing to take away: the universe already solved this — for free — so the smart move is to copy it, not out-think it.
Say a friend already knows the fastest way to tie your shoes. Would you sit down and invent your own slow, clumsy way instead? No way. You'd watch them and copy it. Monkey see, monkey do.
The universe is like that friend. It already knows the best way to do things.
The universe's trick: never do the work
The world never grinds out answers. It just holds things the way they are. When something changes, it's simply the new way now — no adding, no counting, no cost.
And here's the cool part: the bigger the job, the world doesn't slow down. It handles enormous things just as easily as tiny ones. That's an amazing trick.
Our trick: do it the hard way
Now look at how we do it. We start from zero and work the answer out, step by step. Every step takes time and effort. And the bigger the problem, the more steps — and the more work.
We even tell ourselves this is the careful, smart way. But really, we're doing by hand, slowly, what the world does instantly and for free.
So just copy the world
Here's the whole plan, and it's simple: stop trying to out-smart the universe. Copy it instead.
Don't build a slow machine to figure out what the world is already holding. Just look at what it's holding, and read it. When a perfect trick is running all around you, for free, the smart thing isn't to invent a worse one. It's to copy the good one.
